Vintage Obsession, can you blame me?

Last weekend my friends and I went vintage shopping. A year ago, I had no idea where to buy vintage, and nine times out of ten my purchases were a miss. Now, I found a great store in the heart of downtown that has everything from every era. I know a couple of good places but this store, is my absoulute favourite place. I walked into the store and my eyes went straight to the coat rack where I saw this jacket for the first time. I fell in love with the fringes, the studs and the way the buckle clicked when I moved. It fit perfectly and was only $40! The next thing I noticed were these buckled shoes with the studded strap. They only cost me $20 dollars.

I saw this incredible sheep coat and it fit perfectly, and I intend to go back for it this weekend with my friend Emily. As well, there was a pair of 70's knee high black suede boots that I can't stop thinking about. The list goes on and on, but for my readers enjoyment, I am bringing my camera along to snap photo's and possibly a video of how I shop.

I have a few projects including, a shredded denim pair of shorts that I will studd. A over sized white tank ( of course going to stud) and bejeweled tights. I know bejeweled tights sound weird but with the perfect print I know it can work!

My newest obsession? Oversized work shirts with a belt at the waist. OO LA LA!

Lost Time

I have been incredibly busy lately, and I promised myself I would never leave my blog longer than four days. I don't know how I was able to neglect something I enjoyed so much but I did. Since my last post my style has changed dramatically. I am in love with fringes, leather, studs and ripped jeans. Beleive it or not, I have aqquired a large amount of clothing and I have more than enough to feature. I have photographs then never made it to the blog that I would also like to share. Consider this post the goodbye to my fru fru long hair, and a hello to my edgy yet feminine style.

I am still in love with this oufit, its perfect for the spring. However it feels like that girl in the picture isn't me anymore.

I am still in love with a chunky wooden sandal and my American Apparel hat.
Yet, it's incredible what a short cut can do to change your appearance.

Wearing: Floral Dress by Jump Girl, AA Floppy Hat, Oasis Wooden Wedges

This Next Outfit Is bold and colourful. The colours are my favourite in the spring, summer or fall!
Hats are also incredible accessories that I have been neglecting lately. Parcially because I want to show off my choppy hair style and earrings.

Hello Granny!

I have been finding it difficult to remind myself its spring. There is still snow on the ground here and I hate it! However, spring is in the air and florals are in! Speaking of which check out Asos and Topshop they have such incredible stuff for spring! The patterns are almost designer, seriously!

Because I have been taking pictures daily, and not blogging I have fallen behind. I chopped my hair on saturday, and these pictures are a little outdated. The outfits are still fabulous, so I'll blog a ton that way I can catch up to more recent photo's!

Heres my Granny Inspired Number:

Pardon the Insanity

I have been totally busy lately, but I assure you regular outfit posts are on their way.
Today I was feeling a bit hippy-dippy, as my mother would say. Woah that rymed.
It's incredible what barely any sleep and over eating can do to a girl.

This is probably the weirdest outfit I have ever come up with. Pardon the instanity.
However the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. If you are ever hesitant to try something out, why not just play dress up? I know that helps me alot when I am thinking of an outfit to wear the night before.

I am also planning some new DIY projects including studding another bag, shredding a vest, and decorating it with beeds and studs. I am so excited to see the final outcome!

Friday Thrifting

Friday I had the day off of school, so Sophie (bonjourmodele.blogspot.com) and I decided we would dedicate that day to thrifting. I woke up incredibly early that the morning because my aunt had a baby boy. Daniel, and she was hosting a party. (By early, I mean five o'clock, the party started at seven am)

We ended up only hitting one store because Leala, (sophie's mother) had all sorts of things she had to do. But like true shoppaholics, we found some fun stuff.

This is the shirt dress I purchased, I know I can make it work with something! :

Here are a couple of items I couldn't leave out of the post, including Baby PeeWee and a great hat! Both of which were left at the store for obvious reasons!

DIY on a wednesday..

I never beleived in DIY when you could simply buy it.
I also was not on a budget until recently..(momzie decided it was time I earned EVERYTHING.)
So with my new outlook and cut back I came up with some ways that wouldn't be too expensive and had no price on originality:
Thrifting is always a fun way of getting a less pricey version of an item you want, because everything is a new version of vintage. Speaking of which, sophie and I, are going thrifting this friday and I will be posting pictures will all of my finds.

I am working on two projects right now, ripped 90's mom jeans and an old guess leather backpack that I plan on studding.

So here are the ripped jeans: (not yet completed)

Heres the Guess bag that I haven't started on, I am debating between gold and silver studs..

Happy Birthday, Boyfriend..

Alright, the day has come where I entered a store for someone else.
With all the right intentions, I went into American Apparel to look for a pair of sunglasses for my boyfriend, because he needs that one special piece that works with everything. I found these in record time:

I had so much time on my hands I decided to pick up a few items that I have been drooling over. Including the Oxford light blue shirt, spandex jean tights and the grey floppy hat that has caused a rather large commotion in the shopping scene. I don't know how I manage to get so carried away everytime I enter a store, I think I might be a shopaholic.
